Holy tour Amarkantak
Overview of the destination
Amarkantak is the source of river narmada.It is a holy place with lots of forest and hills. It is 120 kms away from Bilaspur(Chattisgarh) ,254 kms from Jabalpur. To enter Amarkantak you have to cross a Reserve forest called 'Achankar Marg' Reseve forest.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping
Only vegeterian food is allowed in Amarkantak. Good food is available in Hotel Holiday Home ( M.P. Tourism). Besides ,ganga rewa Restaurant and other few eating places are there. Major sightseen is Kapil Dhara ,a water fall where Pt. J.L. Nehru's creamation ashes were put. Dudh dhara ,another water falls ,2 kms from Kapildhara where u have to treak. Ma ki bagiya, Narmada Temple, Durga Dhara these are important places. and u can do the Jungle Safari by Jeep.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
If u are coming from North India. Pls reach Jabalpur First then move to Amarkantak.Bus service is there. If u go by train reach Pendra Road station.From there Amarkantal is around 45 kms. Take bus or taxi. From Kolkata first go to Bilaspur. From there take a bus or Taxi to go to Amarkantak or Take a train to Pendra Road and then go to Amarkantak.
