The beach, the freshly catch fish from the sea the cool breeze its just great to back in my own country side or you call it Gods own country!Kerala is a coastal area in India and have a huge popularity for Back Water trips n much more anticipated non polluted hill stations...its breath taking beauty nd its beaches are well know around the globe..tourists pop in all the time n you get whatever you name it...from overseas food n cosmetics to cloths and health products..I am blessed to be here cos I am proud to be a part of this vast country side.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: My favorite local restaurants are Golden Fish is sitauted in Kanhangad and Metro pol, there are few bars but mind you its not clean, smelly n stinky and I recommend you better buy and drink at your home...Bekal Fort is famous for its fort and very expensive Taj hotel situated few kilometer from here n the place call Kappil Beach.....shopping is made easy with hundreds of cloths shops and very easy access to railway n international n domestic airports..fishing is a major activity here and if you love fish this is the place for you to have some tasty fresh seafood.

Activities & things to do: Swimming in the sea,Jogging early morning,Badminton, cricket by the seaside.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: There are plenty of buses n coaches plus trains operate at your ease...Flights available directly to Mangalore from Mumbai and Chennai, Mangalore it only take less than 2 hours to reach the Kanhangad area.

We had gone from Kumarakom to Alleppey in a Boathouse . It was an experience of a lifetime. The accommodation was similar to a Five star type. The cool breeze, the fresh pure air and the wonderful food cooked by the ones in charge was fabulous. It is a must experience holiday.

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Fresh fish cooked by the cook on board.

Activities & things to do: Just relax and watch the sea.

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Take a mosquito repellent cream.

"Nature, you and your loved one!"

  • Posted Jan 19, 2012
Munnar, Alleppey,Cochin,Kovalam beach, these are the places which makes you forget gthe concrete jungle and the clumsy life.. You along with your loved once feel so very close to nature that you will know what you have been missing all these days... Peace of mind in Gods own city...

Food, sight-seeing and shopping: Loads of sea food mostly cooked with coconut oil gives a unique flavour to all dishes.. Chips are their specialities..

Activities & things to do: Carry your cam and camcoder as you will find scenic beauty everywhere.. Back waters are special attractions.Dont miss the house boat experience..

Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc: Tips - please carry some warm clothes as it is a hill station.
Commuting is very easy and minimal charges hence you can plan your own tour rather than going for tourist packages.
A route via Cochin is also recommended.
Please dont forget to carry mosquito repellents.
