We visited the north kerala beaches from bangalore in the month of january. We stayed in Talassery beach and there we spent around a week next to the beach in a small cottage home stay type of accommodation- very affordable. When we visited it was off season.Food, sight-seeing and shopping
We travelled by road in our car tata indigo marina. The route taken was from Bangalore-Mysore-Irrity-kannur-Talassery. We started early in the morning. The talassery beach is on the national highway; there is a small beach- Muzipalangad beach- just go into the small one way road and reach the beach about 1 km. It is the only drive in beach. Too peaceful and length of the beach is 14 kms. It has the home stay facility within the beach which my wife accepted. The beach is shallow and a swimmers paradise. One can stay and laze around on the beach for hours together. Activities & things to do
One can go for swimming, visit various places and the island across - just dont recollect the name. Also some beach wear. Fuel the car from good pumps. Be prepared for the mosquitoes. if having infants/children go in a group of atleast two couples. Not less than that as then one will spend watching the children and husband and wife will never enjoy. Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
