Fort Raigard is an excellent place to understand the history of Hindu Kingdom. The fort still has number of places and makrs, which talks the glorious history of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.Food, sight-seeing and shopping
There are ample sight-seeing points and places. Tour guides are also available to provide complete and true information. These guides are well trained on info front. Palaces, View Points, Shivaji Maharaj Statues, Ponds and many other points are there to explore.
You can buy certain books on history, photos and few other things. Activities & things to do
Activities such as trekking, rock climbing, photography, bird watching, archological studies etc can be done. Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
Raigad is around 28 KMs from Mahad. Mahad is located on Mumbai- Goa highway at around 150 KMs from Mumbai. One can reach Mahad by road or rail.
Mahad to Raigad is a good tar road.
