Went to Agatti & Bangaram islands in Lakshadweep and found the best destination I have ever visited. Agatti island is a long 7 km of strip of land with the sea visible on both sides. The islands are bound with clam, placid lagoons with the clearest sea water I have ever seen. Incredible snorkelling possibleFood, sight-seeing and shopping
No sight-sseing or shopping possible. All you can do is to wallow in the extraordinary beauty of the Indian ocean. Activities & things to do
Agatti & Bangaram (as also Kadmat island) offer water sports including great scuba diving and snorkelling sites. Travel tips, How to reach, travel warnings etc.
Agatti island is easy to get to since the airport is on that island. The difficulty is to get air-tickets since Indian Airlines is the only airline operating and they have a small Dornier plane. First get your air-tickets booked and then get you hotel arranged. Ships also ply from Kochi to some of the islands. |
