Beach Classic Hotel Dhanu is a beautiful place and a good choice for a weekend get away from Mumbai.
The beach classic hotel however made our stay an awful experience. We wanted a late evening check in and a late evening check out the next day. We specifically asked for this facility, the receptionist, said we could get that if we stayed at the suite (this is the most expensive room). We were also given to understand that the Suite had 1 double bed and 1 single bed and that breakfast was included in the room tariff. We agreed.
Once we got to the room, there was no extra single bed, the lock of the bathroom door was broken and was not fixed during our stay there, although we wanted it fixed as soon as possible. They also retracted on their deal of allowing us a late check out saying that the receptionist who had given us the deal is now fired and had caused them other problems too.
We stood our ground and refused to pay anything extra for the room. They however made us pay for breakfast stating that it was listed in error on the websites and will be taken off. We also had dinner at the hotel. It was very average. The cream of chicken soup did not have any taste at all.
HolidayIQ does not have any photographs of this place, but they are available on other websites and the hotel does not really look like what is depicted in the photographs. They have covered up the entire garden restaurant with some sort of sheets that make the place unbearably hot in the day.. and definitely do not give you a garden experience...
