Gurudongmar is in the north Sikkim, a famous lake sorrouded by the mountains. It is not a residential place, situated at about 17,400 ft high altitude. Tourists stay at Lachen and start journey for it early in the morning by car and back within 12 to 12.30 pm as the weather be frequently whimsical. The way to this place is a memorable journey and hospitality of the Indian Army is remarkable. The scenic beauty of the place is heavenly and unforgettable. Last week of March or 1st week of April is the best time to visit the place. Don't forget to bring 'korpoor' (a chemical for takinga smell) as it helps in breathing problem. A temple is also here maintained by Indian Army
