It gives the pleasure of driving as well as staying at a hill station. The roads that lead to Yercaud are in good shape and hair pin bends give good view of the city below. One can also find a lot of monkeys while driving uphill / downhill. It does not have much activities to do apart from the view points and boating, so would recommend you to go with primary objective of relaxing and you would love the place. More » « Hide

Even if one does not wish to stay there and travelling with family, one needs to have a hotel booked for one will get drenched in the water falls. The Hotel is situated very close to the falls and even the non-a/c room is very specious and hygenic. Room service is also very good. I would say it is the best option available, given the limited options we have at Hogenekkal. More » « Hide

It is having a great location with spacious cottage. It also has a mini kids playground with all the necessary amenities closeby. Boat house and Deer park are location at less than 5 minutes walk (just opposite to it). It is also central to all the tourist view points and is very reasonably priced. I was surprised to see the cleanliness it being a government hotel. I would recommend it to people who would like to stay at a decent place without spending enough money at the same time. This is especially useful to people who are travelling without their own vehicle as there are lot of cab / autos available just outside. All in all, I would give 8/10 for the location and other benefits. More » « Hide

He was spotted there for the first time sitting below the neem tree. His Samadhi and the place where he used to sit and solve the problems of his devotees is also located in the shridi temple complex. More » « Hide

I, however, had a bad experience of going to Shirdi without reservation and then had to settle down for quite a costly accomodation which was pretty ordinary. As per my experience, the accomodation is quite nice (compared to other options/ hotels). Do not go with high expectations, and you will surprisingly find the basic amenities also being provided (such as tooth brush, paste, hair oil) which I did not get during my stay in other hotel which I mentioned earlier. It is quite close to the temple, which is another plus. The food, however, can be avoided if possible. The booking can be done through maharastra tourism website. They have options of 3 bedded and 4 bedded rooms (A/c as well as non - A/c) which makes it even better in case you are travelling in a group/ family. Overall it was a good experience to stay close to the temple. More » « Hide
