All three destinations are architectural marvels. Amazing temples, meeting halls, meditation..... All three destinations are architectural marvels. Amazing temples, meeting halls, meditation cells were built in the 16th century during the Vijaynagar era. The setting of the Badami carvings - caves and temples - is fantastic. Thronged by tourists from Mumbai and Pune, this once tranquil hill station has been transformed..... Thronged by tourists from Mumbai and Pune, this once tranquil hill station has been transformed into a heap of plastic bags, drunk weekenders, car horns, and over-priced hotels. Essentially three are three places of interest in and around Amritsar - The Golden Temple, Jallianwalla Baug and the Wagah Border.
