Good number of activities for kids - table tennis, carrom, PSP, etc. The food was not bad, but nothing exceptional too. This was the second time we were staying at the Oriental Towers, the previous visit couple of... .. This was the second time we were staying at the Oriental Towers, the previous visit couple of years back. Oriental Towers is a very functional and Value-For-Money option for those visiting Tanjore for a couple of days to visit the various temples around. Though unimpressive in appearance, the hotel doesn\'t disappoint in terms of room, service and food. We had called up the hotel directly using the contact details on HolidayIQ and suffice to say, the check in was a breeze. Overall, a good option in Tanjore. More » « Hide

Located right in the heart of Salem, Salem Castle is a fair bet for a one or two night... .. Located right in the heart of Salem, Salem Castle is a fair bet for a one or two night accommodation. Primarily a business hotel, Salem Castle has been around for sometime and it shows on some parts of the building. The rooms are basic business type ones with a fairly good AC, comfortable beds & a clean bathroom. The downside is the rooms are fairly small and the standard furniture of beds, writing table & chair, coffee table and couple of chairs, TV, etc make it even more crowded. The menu and the food are fair - nothing to complain about, and nothing to celebrate. The menu includes the usual suspects - South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, and Continental too. All in all, a decent place for a night's stop over if you happen to be passing through Salem. More » « Hide
