Poovar is located about 45 minutes from Trivandrum and is easily accessible by Bus or taxi..... If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life AND also avoid all those... .. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life AND also avoid all those commercialised over-crowded beaches, this is the answer. The Resort is located on the Kerala backwaters,undisturbed and set in lush greenery just 45 minutes from Trivandrum ( you take a taxi or Bus to Poovar and then the resort provides its own ferry from the jetty - about 10 minutes ride amidst picturesque back-waters - You can choose either a Land or Floating Cottage,latter being house-boats on the waterfront ).Service is good so also facilities,resort is clean,rooms are huge and well appointed, and the food is superb - they keep rotating menus with ample choices of buffet dishes - veg. or non-veg. and the desserts are superb. There is an excellent Ayurvedic Center to rejuvenate you ( at a cost,of course ). Loved the stay there. More » « Hide
