I have been to the Holy Nagore Dargah last week. Nagore Dargah is the shrine dedicated to Meeran Sahib Abdul Qadir Shahul Hamid Badshah which is one of the popular pilgrimage centre for muslims in Tamilnadu. The Dargah is standing as a proof of the harmonious co-existence of Hindu-Muslim communities. The main campus at Nagore is enclosed by a compound wall, with four entrances, one each on the north, south east and west. The large tower called 'Periya Minara' stands at a height of 131 ft. The mortal remains of Meeran Sahib, his son Syed Mohd Yousuff and his daughter-in-law Saeeda Sultana Biwi are buried in the tombs situated in three separate chambers in a golden dome building. I made ziyarat in the tomb of Holy Meeran Sahib and I felt a good mental peace while coming out.
