We had to go to Pune thereafter, so Matheran seemed a logical stop. “You people have come all the way from Delhi to see Matheran in this heat?” asked our taxi driver. He had a point. It was something I had never experienced before nor could have imagined it. I remembered someone had once told me that prime places of worship have a distinct energy level. Here, one can feel it. Absorb it. Soak in it. The sea embraces. The Temple captivates. The people endear. The place truly greets one with smiling open arms and fills one with unspoken warmth. More » |
