I visited the Wild Grass Resort in last week of march 2012.Mr Manju Barua was a great help and gave me an accurate picture of the entire tour right from the fact that widening of the road is in progress, traffic scene in Guwahati and how to get the taxi, approx fares etc. The resort has an old world charm, specially the dining room and the staff is very courteous and polite. The food is very good. We stayed in the Cottage and it was very clean, with very good furnishing, clean bedsheets etc. There were mostly foreigners in the resort, when we visited. They also have a cultural programme in the evening and it was very entertaining. The guests are also invited to be a part of the dance. More » « Hide

Kaziranga national park is an amazing destination. I visited Kaziranga in the last week of March..... Kaziranga national park is an amazing destination. I visited Kaziranga in the last week of March 2012 with my wife and three kids and all of us simply loved the place. The are three major zones in the park of which the central zone (Entry from Kohora) was the most exciting. In fact the elephant ride here was most enjoyable and we saw many rhinos, hogdeer and barasingha deer at very close range. The Bagori range too is good, with many Rhinos, wild buffaloes, wild elephants and deer, but there are fewer animals here The Agartoli range too has rhinos but is mostly known for bird watching, so you need good binoculars here. Very Good place to stay with a family. I had booked the Family Room and my kids were very happy... .. Very Good place to stay with a family. I had booked the Family Room and my kids were very happy as there was a buggy bed in addition to the regular double bed. This was a pleasant surprise because most hotels do not have proper beds for kids, unless it is a suite. The room / bath room / furnishings were very good. More » « Hide
