Jalgaon is in Maharashtra and the erstwhile District of Khandesh. This place is the native place as well as the place where our present-serving Honorable President of India Mrs. Pratibah Devising Patil had her college education.
This place recent two jewels are Gandhi Research Foundation and brand new airport.
This place s widely recognized and known for its merit-excellence in Gold Trading, Plastic Processing, Dal Mill, varieties of growth of vegetables and fruits all around the year (chiefly onion and mango); it is the only Municipality in India which is run, operated and functioned from 17 storied Building.
As on today it has two noteworthy places to visit a must-for-visit. These are Gandhi Research Foundation in Jain Hills Jalgaon and the brand new airport. Both were recently inaugurated on the last week of Mar 2012. Gandhi Research Foundation is dream-come-true venture for Mr. BH Jain, who on his own in steadfast manner made this project comes true by sheer own effort, gusto and perseverance .
Jalgaon is very near to Bhusawal (25 Kms) an vital and strategic Railway Junction. One can connect all the routes of the superfast trains to Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Calcutta, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jammu, Chennai, Nagpur, Pune, and Varanasi, Cochin. Climate is very severe summer for two months (Apr ? May) and winter (mid Dec to Mid Jan); besides pleasant Rainy Season average rainfall. The river Girna Passes by the city and the large Mehrun Lake adds charm to the hilly surroundings
