This place is another testimony for a district (Kodagu / Coorg) that is bountiful of natural / scenic spots. It is completely secluded and located amidst valleys and forest. One can spend time in complete tranquility and breathe fresh air which is free from any sort of pollution. You can either do some trekking activities or just laze under the shades of the huge trees & admire the valleys in front of you. There are lots of trekking options available around this place, both short and long ones. Don’t miss the trek to the nearby stream in the forest and the newly found waterfall. And the best part is you don’t need guides to go around, just a hand drawn map provided by the host is more than enough! Overall the place is simply awesome - A wonderful home stay which is aesthetically done provides excellent accommodation for the kind of tariff they charge - Rs.700 (2beds) & Rs.1000 (4beds) & they do have some Hut kind of accommodation which could be a much cheaper option. In the night the place is even more interesting - except for the rooms (fitted with basic lighting) it’s complete darkness all across and in the darkness you can hear the insects chirping and birds tweeting from the thick woods. The weather was ok. I had visited this place during March end so it was slightly warm during day and slightly chill during nighttime.
