This was my first trip to Yercaud and it just happened one weekend by chance that I was forced to make a trip to a village close to Salem for some work and then was thinking whether to go back to Chennai but since Salem was just 2 hours from there we just decided on the way that to travel further to Salem/Yercaud. This was during the end of April\'12. The climate was amazing. The one hour bus ride from Salem to Yercaud was a bit scary with 20 hair pin bends but it was fun. Rs. 17/- a ticket for a one hour ride :). I called up the Resort on the way and it was full but then they did surprise me by calling me back and offering me a room at the last minute and thats what I loved. The resort is on the hill facing the valley and each of the rooms has the most amazing view of the entire valley. Though I could stay only for a day. I will go there again when I get a chance and stay longer. I would recommend the resort. You will love it.
