The hotel is on the main road very close to the Mall road. Main draw back is the hotel does not... .. The hotel is on the main road very close to the Mall road. Main draw back is the hotel does not have valley view as it is on the main city road. The over all experience from the front office and service was good. Food was very good and service was also very good. Rooms were specious. Being a fortune hotel we expeected the room to be well decored and well furnished. But the same was not up to the mark. The royal Plaza, Gangtok is a Sarovar Group Hotel. After a tiresome drive from Darjeeling you... .. The royal Plaza, Gangtok is a Sarovar Group Hotel. After a tiresome drive from Darjeeling you reach Gangtok and find that your hotel is located in a very clumsy area. A very small gully leads you to the hotel. Main problem is that the Tourist vehicles carrying Indian Tourists, can not go up to the hotel between 8.00 Am to 7.00 PM due to local traffic rules. You have to catch a local Omni taxi and approach the hotel. We were told that only Indian Tourists have to face this problem. The foreign tourists can take their vehicles up to the Hotel. INCREDIBLE INDIA ! Ask for valley view rooms only. Rooms are specious and well maintained. They have a real good view of mountains and the cable car but with a net / M.S. Mesh out side your window. Non Valley rooms have view of adjecent buildings . Food was really good. More » « Hide

This was the worst property I have ever been to in my life. This web site has not allowed us to... .. This was the worst property I have ever been to in my life. This web site has not allowed us to give zero points, otherwise it would have been all zero. The property itself is located in such a worst area that you would not like to go through. Lots of hutments. Its not at proper Kovalm. Its further south on a very narrow road, off kanyakumari road. Afetr paying more than 5000.00 per nigth you get stinking bad rooms, tiles in the room which you would not fix even in your back yard, the main door which can not be shut and locked, a toilet door with a huge crack in it, no hot water in your room, dirty beds, hopeless food resulting in a sleepless night without food. The reception guys or managers are not even ready to hear you. There no person to help you in so called restaurant in bufet timings. A la Carte is denied. At break fast you get cold idli ,cold vada cold coffee and cold tea only along with hundreds of flies to share your breakfast. I had such a bad experience that I shifted to Fortune South park, Trivendrum for my next day\'s stay even though I had paid in advance for two nights at Harmonia Beach resort. Earlier in my tour I had stayed in same group\'s Abad plaza in Kochin, Copper castle in Munnar and Whispering palms at Kumarkom. The experience was very good at these properties. But Abad harmonia was a hell. The tag Abad doesn\'t suit Harmonia beach resort. More » « Hide

Getting there : Devbag is located 4 K.M. South of tarkarli. and 10.0 K.M. from Malvan city. By... .. Getting there : Devbag is located 4 K.M. South of tarkarli. and 10.0 K.M. from Malvan city. By road travel you require 11 to 12 hours to reach here from Mumbai. But if you catch Konkan Railway \' Konkankanya\' at 22.00 at Mumbai CST you reach Kudal by 8.00 in the morning. Devbag is just 1.00 hour drive from Kudal. The resoprt can arrange for your vehicle if you book in advance. location: The Sidhdhivinayak beach resort is located dot on devbag beach 4 K.M. South of Tarkarli. The nearness of sea you experience here can not experience in any other hotel in the vicinity. The beach is just 10 feet away from the first room. You can just lay back and hear the roaring waves. This beach resort is run by Manoj, Sujan and Pramod Khobrekar brothers. The resort is like other resorts / hotels run by local families. But no other resort ( even the professional ones ) may match the hospitality you experience here. The resort does not have the formal front office. But you can get the service you want just by calling any body from the house. The rooms are neat and clean and can easily accomodate 3 people. Toilets are clean. The beds have foam matresses and extra bed provided was also of very good quality. Bedspreads and Pillow covers were clean. I stayed in other resort a day before at Tarkarli and my experience was very bad. Here you get more than you deserve for Rs.700.00 per night. Getting around : If you have your own vehicle then no problem at all. But if you don\'t have one then also you can hire rikshaw or catch S.T. bus to Malwan and You can go around. You can have a look at the sea fort Sindhudurg Built by the Great Maratha Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. You are amazed to see the strength of the fort. built admist the sea water. The area of the fort is 45 acres. You have to reach to the fort in motor boat. The only temple of Shivaji Maharaj is on this fort. You can also see the foot print and impression of the right palm of Shivaji Maharaj. You can enjoy snorkelling around Sindhudurg fort. It is the only place in maharashtra where snorkelling facility is available. You can watch a lot species of different fishes, corals etc. Its a lifetime experience for every body enen those who can not sweem. The cost for Sindhudurg fort sigth seeing and snorkelling for three was Rs.840.00. The famous Bharadi devi temple is 17 k.m. from Malvan. Eating out: In Malwan city you can eat at Chaitanya or Swami. Both are good. A good Buy: Cashew nuts, Cashew laddu, Kokam Sharbat, Amla Sharbat, malwani khaja are favorits. More » « Hide
