We reached the hotel around 2pm and checked in to our room. The hotel as well as the rooms were neat and clean. We asked about the lunch and were told that since our booking is on MAP basis, so we will not be served lunch even though we were willing to pay for it. The hotel does not have a restaurant, so if you want to have lunch/dinner, you need to tell at least 4 hours in advance. There are not many options to eat out in Kalimpong so you have to eat at the hotel. The Hotel is located at a distance of about half a kilometer from the market, we had our lunch at Gampoo Restaurant (can’t recall the name properly). The rooms were quiet and view from room’s balcony was awesome. Dinner was pathetic but breakfast was good. Staff at the hotel was very courteous and the room service was real quick. Apart from the food, everything else was great.
