Although, if you are going to Kakinada during monsoon, I would advice you not to use the Rajahmundry airport. Our flight back to hyderabad got cancelled due to light rains and we missed our connecting flight from Hyd to Mumbai. If beaches are clean and not polluted, however, the area has several fertiliser industries. So if you want to breathe in unpolluted air, you will give this place a miss. The best thing is the unassuming pace of life and stretches of green farms. The place is abundant with fruit orchards such as chikoo, mango, coconut etc. More » « Hide

If you stay within Mumbai or in the western suburbs and don't have time for a long holiday, but need a quick getaway without spending a whole lot of time on reaching the spot, then Bordi is the best destination. Don't go looking for a pristine white beach, but if u want privacy, then this is the place to be. While the beach is not dirty, it is a little oily and the colour is closer to grey than white. But the beach is huge and isolated. As soon as you enter the area, you can smell the chikkus in the air. This is one of the delightful things about Bordi. More » « Hide

We booked Siddhivinayak Beach resort after liking the reviews. The hotel is run by two brothers along with their family. We booked the first room which is very close to the beach and we could hear the waves from the room. It was one of the most memorable experience in my stay. The food served was awesome, simple, home cooked, wholesome food. Veg as well as non veg thali was good. We stayed for over 3 nights and 4 days and it cost us only around Rs 1500/- per head for three people. The brothers also took us sight seeing in their boat around the backwaters and sangam point. We caught glimpses of dolphins diving around the boat. The hospitality and warmth experienced there cannot be compared to impersonal hotels. If you want to travel on budget to Tarkarli, this is the best place to spend your money on. The hotel is on devbag beach which is an hour away from kudal station. The rickshawala charges Rs300 from kudal to devbaug. But the journey is worth the whole experience. We felt like we were staying with kind relatives, infact we were showered with free coconut, bon fire and extra breakfast. Ask for 1st room if you plan to stay there. More » « Hide
