I went there for business purpose, so could not see much of the place. Although, if you are going to Kakinada during monsoon, I would advice you not to use the Rajahmundry airport. Our flight back to hyderabad got cancelled due to light rains and we missed our connecting flight from Hyd to Mumbai. If beaches are clean and not polluted, however, the area has several fertiliser industries. So if you want to breathe in unpolluted air, you will give this place a miss. The best thing is the unassuming pace of life and stretches of green farms. The place is abundant with fruit orchards such as chikoo, mango, coconut etc. More » |

If you stay within Mumbai or in the western suburbs and don't have time for a long holiday, but need a quick getaway without spending a whole lot of time on reaching the spot, then Bordi is the best destination. Don't go looking for a pristine white beach, but if u want privacy, then this is the place to be. While the beach is not dirty, it is a little oily and the colour is closer to grey than white. But the beach is huge and isolated. As soon as you enter the area, you can smell the chikkus in the air. This is one of the delightful things about Bordi. More » |
