It is located within 2-3 minutes walk of all the great sight seeing places like Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Sophia Haque in the old Sultanhamet area. We went in December and was told that it is freezing and raining at that time of the year. But the weather was absolutely gorgeous...almost like Delhi winters (only a little bit breezier and colder) and it did not rain. The rooms were neat and clean but was small. More » « Hide

Overall experience in Udaipur was awesome but I wish I could say the same for the hotel. Rooms... .. Overall experience in Udaipur was awesome but I wish I could say the same for the hotel. Rooms were good and spacious but the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The shower curtains and floor mats were dirty to the core. The bath tub was all cracked up and dirty. The shower though was good not trickling kinds you get in most hotels. The corridors in the room were filled with noisy people making a racket in the late hours of the night disturbing our sleep. It seemed like people were playing table tennis right above our floor at night. I didnt eat any food there...but later I was told by a good hotel in Udaipur that there food is pretty bad as it caters to the rajasthani palaette and hence lot of masalas in everything. We got our hotel booking at this place at the last minute when every other hotel in Jaipur was... .. We got our hotel booking at this place at the last minute when every other hotel in Jaipur was booked. This hotel has a haveli/palatial kind of appearance and the maharani rickshaw at the entrance catches the eye. The staff are dressed traditionally with their bandhini headgears and typical rajasthani dress which adds to the regal hotel. The rooms are spacious and have a homely appearance, the bed is soft and the bathrooms are also very nice. We stayed at the Royal Suite and indeed did feel like a maharani for one night!
