Gowri Nivas is in midst of Madikeri town. But the home stay with its two cottages is so beautifully designed and maintained that you wont know that there isa town in the vicinity unless you step ut of their gates. The room we stayed in was in their main bungalow. It was victorian and spoke of the impeccable taste of the hosts - Mrs Daisy and Ms. Muthu. Both extremely warm and just lovely people to be associated with. Their home cooked jams and marmalades and pork curry and lamb curry and every other dish they made ....yumm the tatste is still lingering in my mouth. They have perfected the art of hospitality by being extremely warm and yet comepletely un-intrusive. Like I told them, I really felt i was leaving my home while coming out.
