We wanted to spend 3 weeks in Goa and then travel to the Maldives. No flights out of Goa to the... .. We wanted to spend 3 weeks in Goa and then travel to the Maldives. No flights out of Goa to the Maldives so we had to spend one night in Bangalore. What we could see during a one hour's taxi ride from the airport to the hotel did not inspire us to want to see the rest of Bangalore. Spent one night only at the Hotel Pai Viceroy. Receptionist- Mr Khan was very good / professional. We wanted to leave the hotel at 7 am for an hour's taxi ride to the airport and he went out of his way to accommodate us with our very early wake up call and breakfast. Room was good and clean. Shower recess very small. If we were there for more than 2 or 3 nights, we would have preferred a bigger toilet/bathroom area. More » « Hide

In the corridor on the same floor as the suite was a sofa with lots of dirty linen on it. So-called Presidential Suite consisted of 2 large rooms and an ensuite Bathroom. Entrance Room - 2 sofa beds with dirty mattresses not even covered with linen. We did not want to even sit down. Bedroom - the bed linen looked clean except for one small mark. The bathroom looked clean - just about acceptable, I guess, for a poor backpacker. The towels looked clean. However, we had to ask for drinking water, soap and toilet paper. No Creepy Crawlies! We shot out of the hotel as soon as we could get ready in the morning! A $ 20 room rate would be more appropriate and even then, I would not choose to stay here - I would have preferred to sit all night at Bangalore airport. More » « Hide
