It was an ok experience to stay at Friends Guest House, although the rooms are quite small and there was no hot water available (we went in November last year), it seems a comfortable place to be in, best thing is that it is very near to Taj and you can walk down to the Taj in 5-10 minutes and can visit the Shilp Gram on the way and buy stuff/handicrafts there. The Red Fort is also not very far, you can hire a three-wheeled auto to take you there...so its a good option to stay here... (mostly foreigners stay here.. as we saw on our stay).. oh and by the way NOW.. they have a website too ..http://friendspayingguesthouse.com/index.html PS - You should visit Sikandra Fort first thing when you reach Agra as it is on the way (say if coming from Delhi, Sikandra is on the way) More » « Hide

This hotel is just at the start of Mount Abu (near the Check Post) and is surrounded with lush green landscaped garden. However, we do find the hotel is a bit overpriced as compared to the ambience of the rooms and the facilities available. More » « Hide

We had two corner/adjacent rooms with a corridor/balcony view of the backstreet of the hotel. It was busy with people during the day and quiet during the night. We did not take the food experience at the hotel because first our dear friend simply forgot that he had advance paid for the breakfast as well while booking :) and secondly coz we were very excited to dig our teeth into the recommended dhaba and local food at Amritsar .... the only problem we faced was hot water not being available at times mainly because of the electricity going on and off and the hotel did not have such a massive power back to run geysers while the power was gone ! Anyway that did not bother us as were very excited and bent upon enjoying our whole trip... The room service was good whenever we called for water, tea or extra blankets... anyway we got the extra mileage coz there was not much of a rush at the hotel during our stay and we being a bunch of youngsters were in our own sweet dreamworld :) More » « Hide
