Gulmarg is a fantastic destination for all seasons. An unique in our country. It can be visited in winter for skiing or for the snow experience. Summer will be very pleasant and cool when compared to other parts of India. Monsoon or post monsoon will be fascinating with green meadows. I visited Gulmarg this year twice and i stayed in hotel Grand Mumtaz in April 2011. Gulmarg had snow everywhere though the same was bit dirty when compared to the snow in March. We visited the Lord Shiva temple, the church and the Gondola ride unto the second stage. One should experience the ride and the pleasure can not be explained by any other means. There was a moderate snowfall in the second stage and we enjoyed every moment of it. In fact we cut short our srinagar trip for Gulmarg only for the snowfall and we have not been deprived. we stayed in the hotel Gran Mumtaz for one night only and it was a good experience indeed.
