Jammu is a city of Temples, and is one hours drive from Katra. It is a good idea to keep on day for shopping and and sight seeing in Jammu. The most Exciting experience that we experienced in Jammu was the Hovercraft Cruise that has been recently introduced on river Tawi en route to Katra. It is the only the only Hovercraft cruise in India. To think we would find such a novel and exciting experience in a small city like Jammu!. At this time of the year the weather was lovely. A tour of the various ancient temples and the Amar palace which has been turned into a museum was very educative about the Dogra culture. More » |
