let's first clarify the confusion related to the name,Bellevue.There are three hotels in... .. let's first clarify the confusion related to the name,Bellevue.There are three hotels in Darjeeling with name Bellevue.The hotel Bellevue is situated just on Mall with mall facing rooms.Hotel olde (main)Bellevue Heritage hotel is situated just behind the Bellevue hotel and this is an old property .The Olde(Main)Bellevue hotel where i have stayed very recently is situated on mall road just opposite to famous Glenary's restaurant.This hotel is not an old property despite the name olde Bellevue,rather a nicely located hotel with spacious rooms , modern bathroom with true running hot water ,wooden floor and descent furniture along with clean,warm bedding materials.But the main USP of the room no:206 where i stayed for 03 nights in the month of December with temperature below 5 deg is the 05 Glass windows which offer bright sunlight through out the day and awesome view of the valley which includes perfect view of the mighty Kanchanjungha.The front office manager is very cheerful young man who is ready to help you in arranging your tour programme.The room boy Shankar,a Shahid kapoor look alike is more cheerful young man who is prompt in supplying hot water /tea/coffee with a smiling face.There is no restaurant in this hotel.But,when Glenary's restaurant is situated just opposite to your hotel and opium/keventers/frank ross are situated either opposite to or on left side of your hotel ,its not a big issue at all.I took my breakfast in Glenary's,lunch in Hasty Tasty ,snacks More » « Hide

Nice hotel with central location ,close to Dasawsmedh ghat and viswanath temple with all... .. Nice hotel with central location ,close to Dasawsmedh ghat and viswanath temple with all amenities available within short distance but overall experience of staying in this hotel for 04 nights was just okay, nothing more than that.I booked 3 rooms well in advance,but even at 12 noon,they could not hand over the keys.Rooms are ok but the tv was not functioning and the ac was just terrible.Room service is not prompt ,the staff looks irritated,and the food is very spicy and expensive too.Overall look of the hotel is good and its a good property for those who likes to stay comfortably with modern facilities in ancient city Varanasi where most of the hotels are without ac and lift,otherwise,if you have fit knee ,better opt for some hotels near godhulia or near ghats. I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights(5/5/12-8/5/12),booked 3 rooms(101,108,109) and my experience... .. I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights(5/5/12-8/5/12),booked 3 rooms(101,108,109) and my experience was very good.For comfortable family stay in shimla ,i think,one has two options......in mall road and near tourism lift.I opted this hotel because its just next to lift,taxi stand is available within 25 meters and still this is essentially a budget hotel.The rooms,i got,offer great view of valley including view of famous church in ridge.The room service is extremely good,the well-dressed room boys are soft spoken ,ready to serve and very efficient to handle all issues.The restaurant in second floor(Silver oak) serves all type of food,veg,non veg including chinese and i tasted one of best chili chicken preparation in my life during my stay in this hotel.
