This is our second time at Bamboo banks and we absolutely did not want to compromise on the... .. This is our second time at Bamboo banks and we absolutely did not want to compromise on the property and were lucky enough to get a booking at last minute. My husband and I love this place because the cottages are secluded and far away from each other which means you don't see other guests very often other than the common meal hour time. Bamboo Banks is probably one of the first few home stay that were started in the area of Mudumalai. The farm is spread over 40 acres of land and is surrounded by forest and is located at the foot hills of the lofty blue hills which is a treat to the naked eye. The Kothavalas who own and run this place are super friendly and take care of every request. Other than lazing around which is the best thing to do and which we did in ample there are also lots of activities to keep you busy. The place is a bird paradise, so you can go for long walks and spot some rare and beautiful birds. There is well stacked library and lots of board games, also a TT table. There is ATV, horse riding for the adventure types and bicycles at your disposal to ride away in and around the property. There is also a nice pool with great views of the mountains. We made the most of it and took the 2 horses for a nice long ride, also went cycling, played TT. We had a great time. In the evening, both of us just sat near the bonfire and sipped on some beer with snacks. The rooms need a special mention as every cottage is unique and done tastefully. They are super spacious and have a nice huge sit out. Just loved being there for 3 days and we truly wished we could spend more time as time flew like a snap. More » « Hide

I zeroed on Inchara after a lot of googling and my first hand experience with Mr.Ramesh on phone... .. I zeroed on Inchara after a lot of googling and my first hand experience with Mr.Ramesh on phone was good enough to know that we were in good hands. The place is rustic and raw. nature at its best. It is a 15 acre estate plantation of arcaenut, Mango, jackfruit and a milion variety of flowers. The weekend was a family outing of 5 members, my parents, sister, husband and I. We had booked 2 rooms and they were super clean. The food was homely and delicious. Mr & Mrs. Ramesh were always there to help. I have to specially mention the staff Sujatha and Susheela who cooked for us and cared for us. Extremely helpful staff and very courteous. There are so many places to see around and so many activities to do inside the estate but i just chose to relax on the jhoola and hammoks :) I recommend this place to everyone. Overall, it was a fulfilling experience of waking up to chirping birds & staying at such a wonderful place. It really rejuvenated me & charged me up to face the Monday morning blues & hmm, luckily I dint have any as I was in such a great mood after holidaying at Bear Mountain resort. Bheemeshwari is a place which looks like a picture painted by a kid, Nice green mountains &..... Bheemeshwari is a place which looks like a picture painted by a kid, Nice green mountains & clouds in the sky & the the river cauvery flowing by is just what we needed to chill out on a sunny sunday. Our team of five which includes my finace, me & my three friends wanted to get out of bangalore for a day to a nice cool place & we zeroed on bheemeshwari, this place is 2kms away from Mutati which is a forest range with mountains spread all around. We started from banaglore at 7.00 in the morning and reached bheemeshwari at 11.30, it usuall takes just 1hr 30 mins, since we had a flat tyre, had to get that patched up. We parked our vehicle close by to the cauvery fishing camp in bheemeshwari & trekked for about 1km to reach the river side, we spent arong 3-4 hrs in the water & started to unwrap the food covers that we had carried, since it was summer we had carried lots of oranges & cucumber & ate to our hearts content, we got out of water & started cooking our food which was ready to eat noodles but please make your own fire ;), it was really adventurous to cook but please do not litter, carry your waste back. We had a nap for a short time & around 5 we made our coffee with the hlp of river water & some milk powder, sugar & nescafe, after this we headed back to banaglore & on our way back we had a chance to see the spectacular sunset.
