I stayed in this hotel from 23rd May to 27th may (2011). At the time of booking the owner told us the hotel is located at 5-7mins walking distance from M.G.Marg. When we reached there we found that it is located far from M.G.Marg, takes around 15mins walk to reach M.G.marg from the hotel. Though you will get local shared taxi to reach M.G.Marg and it charges Rs10 per head, but at the time of returning at night you wont find any taxi on sharing basis. you\'ll have to reserve it and costs Rs70-100 varying on the driver\'s wish. That\'s a bit problem. But if you choose to walk dont worry there aren\'t any crimes on the road so you can walk peacefully without any tension. There is very very less criminal activities in sikkim. the people are helpful and trustworthy.
The hotel owner is a miser. He has not spend a paisa on the renovation or maintenance of the hotel. Even we came to know from the service boys that he beats them and doesnt give them proper salary. The look of the hotel is very very old and dark. they charged Rs1000 for a delux room. The rooms are not at all upto the mark. Not value for money. Broken furniture, broken mirror, paint from the wall is falling and there is lots of insects in the room. rooms doent have proper lighting and the look of the rooms are very dull. Whenever we tell them to spray any proper insecticide to do away with the insects they jst come with a room freshner, spray that and go away. The hotel suffers from lack of maintenance. The food served here is just horrible. The service is just pathetic. you order for something they will bring something else after 2 hrs. You have to follow up with them constantly to get your food or tea. Its jst pathetic. Overall the hotel is bad, dull, not at all maintained, dark interiors.
