Le Royal Meridien Chennai is the only hotel in the city with such a vast landscaping which provides a veritable oasis in the city\'s concrete jungle. With the largest pillarless ballroom in the city, the hotel has famoused itself as a business and convention hotel. The staff is very curteous and helpful and thoroughly professional. The seafood restaurant \'Kayal\' on the third floor provides a beautiful view of the swimming pool and sprawling lawn area which is illuminated to its best at night. What takes the cake is the live counter where you can choose your favourite seafood and have it cooked in front of your eyes to your liking. Cilantro, the 24 hr coffee shop is where they serve breakfast also. The lunch and dinner buffet has a wonderful multi-cuisine spread. The best part is the dessert spread, where each dessert is offered for one portion which is comparable to any hotel abroad.
