Meharangad fort is best pplace to visit , We maintained fort . It is under control of The formar rulers of Jodhpur. Being under private mangement well maintined , It is just 4/6 Kms from City area . You can take autosickshaw also upto fort , The best facility is audio guide device available at the entrance of fort ,no need to take the guide
Another best place is Umaid bhavan palace , partly converted to 5 star Hotel but the apart from view of palace being at top of hill gives beautiful view of City,
The best way to move around atthese twoplaces & Mandore garden is to hire TAXI FOR FULL DAY FROM tAXISTAND Just out side railway station ,facing Stationon left you may find many taxies (Private taxies with yellow Number plate) waiting , youmay fix up with any one for the fullday which willinclude pickup& dropto hotel with all these sight seeing for Rs 1200 forabot 7/8 Hour toure
