The architecture is so intricate and those who are interested in the subject would enjoy the sculptors' creativity in making the carvings resemble exactly the real ones. More » « Hide

We were provided a suite like accommodation which though small and narrow but decent and well maintained with AC facility. The location is little poor as it is on a small lane but a little off from the main road with perhaps car parking facility in the cellar and in the center of the city. There is no restaurant and the inmates to depend on the surrounding hotels on the main road only. More » « Hide

There are many cruise companies offering boating facilities to go around the island which has a beautiful Poovar Resort also built within. The boating in the backwaters is an excellent experience to enjoy the scenic atmosphere while passing through the river and its adjoining small canals. The point wherein the river joins the sea is very beautiful. There are floating restaurants offering snacks and food services to those come for boating. The boating covers a few points like statue island, river-sea joining point beach etc. A most enjoyable experience for all who visit Thiruvananthapuram. More » « Hide

The presiding deity Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu in lying (sayanam)pose beautifully carved. The temple premises are well maintained by the Travancore Dewaswom. The temple attracts many tourists who come to the city. An attraction not to be missed and to take Lord Vishnu blessings. There are special Darshan costing a nominal fee of Rs.150/- for a person and Rs.180/- for two. Otherwise the Darshan is free. More » « Hide
