We had planned a trip to Lenyadri ganpati and so decided to have an overnight stay at Hotel Platinum after reading the reviews on the internet.But our experience was not at all good. We reached at night say around 9pm and had placed order for dinner around 9:45pm. but the food came from 10:30pm, even though there were no guests in the dining area.We had ordered a chinese starter,and asked them to give tomato ketchup and schezwan sauce.But they denied to give tomato ketchup saying that we had ordered Chinese starter and not Indian starter.There was open air dining area. There were lot of mosquitoes and flies.One fly even fell in our soup,but even on informing the hotel staff, they didn't took the courtesy to apologize or replace the soup or waive off the charges.The lighting in the dining area was soooo dim that we felt we were sitting in a beer bar.
Hotel rooms are very small and the service is also very slow. A/c was working but TV was not. There was no complimentary breakfast.They had even asked us to make advance payment, for confirmation of the booking. The rates are very very high compared to the decor, food and service. We would not suggest anybody about this hotel.As compared to the hotel tariff, thre were not any arrangements made for our car driver to stay or even to frshen up. So he had to stay in the interior area of the city due to which lot of time was wasted waiting for him to come.
From the overall experience we really felt cheated and felt that the reviews uploaded on the internet are bakwas.It is not at all worth the tariff.
