Rutu Farms is one of the most well balanced properties that I have ever been to. It lives up to its concept of agri-tourism with flower and vegetable plantations all around the resort, while still keeping lot of open spaces and lawns that can be used for outdoor games. Don't let the tag of agri-tourism lead you to believe it would be a humble accommodation - it is pretty upmarket, well furnished, thoughtful, neat, clean, peaceful property - better than many other more costly places. You will be impressed specially with the decor and ambience that gels well with the concept while giving the place a luxurious feel. It is not located in a "happening" place but you won't miss anything specially in a large group. In case you do, you can always hop off to more happening places like Panchgani or Mahabaleshwar and return for a peaceful night. The facility to checkin friday evening and checkout sunday evening perfectly fits the bill, a great benefit if you are travelling from Pune or Satara.
Now for a more concrete review -
Food - excellent (home cooked maharashtrian style)
Accommodation - excellent (spacious rooms, well ventillated, well furnished, well lit, and the bathroom is sheer novelty! I won't say why, just book a weekend there and find out :))
Ambience (Interior) - good
Ambience (exterior) - excellent
Amenities - fair (carrom boards worn out, badminton also available, any other games carry yourself, kids' pool would be great in summer)
Service - very good (personal attention from owners, prompt effort by all staff)
Location - good
