We are based in Bangalore and had won a holiday as part of some promotion. We had 4-5 options to choose from and we decided on this resort because it was the closest. Also, we weren\'t actually hoping for something great since we hadn\'t heard of Hassan as a tourist destination, leave alone the resort. So, we were throughly awed by the resort right from the moment we set our eyes on it.
First thing we noticed was the excellent natural surroundings that these people have managed to maintain so well. The trees, plants and flowers will just take your breath away. A feeling of eternal peace will seem to set into you. That is really cool for the first impression. And the impression only kept getting better.
The hotel staff was polite and friendly. The room was spacious and well kept. It also had a small back yard. The food was more than satisfying and the resort had ample choice for activity, recreation as well as relaxation. They have a swimming pool, a tennis court, an activity room with board games and fun things to do for adults as well as kids. Towards the evening, the management organizes some group activities in which you can participate if you feel like. Dinner is mostly served in the outdoors after these activities have ended. We had gone on the new-year eve, so we also got to see the splendid fireworks.
There are also small gardens here and there with hammocks so that you can just laze around if you don\'t want to do anything but just relax. If you want to go site seeing, the heritage cities of Hampi and Belur Halebidu are at pretty short distances from the resort.
The theme of this resort is to give the effect of a Village. So, the rooms are styled and architected to reflect the same and come through pretty well. The surroundings also keep up with the theme. They also have a musician cum magician and also a guy who carves rock into various idols right in the resort!
According to me, this is an ideal place to unwind or as a weekend getaway from the maddening regular city life. I highly recommend it.
