Dont go there if you are expecting to be in the middle of mountains, chikmaglur is actually..... Dont go there if you are expecting to be in the middle of mountains, chikmaglur is actually situated at the base of the hills and just where the coffee estates start. The weather is exactly like bangalore, so dont bother carrying wollens etc, unless you plan to trek or spend night in the mountains. Taj in the town is a decent place to stay, although I have seen and expericenced better taj properties. The experienc changes once you get out of town and head to the hills. More » « Hide
