The resort is located 2 km away from the main road and a bit difficult to access as the approach road is very narrow and a typical village road. There is good greenary and a lot of fields near by. The river nearby makes it a worthful visit, The rooms are spacious enough and the service is good overall. Food is vegeterian and boose not allowed. More » « Hide

Resort is relatively moderately priced, located in a great location, booking easy (just call them over the phone). The check in is smooth. The balconies for all the rooms overlook the Kaveri and lazing in your balcony looking at the river is truly a wonderful experience. The hotel is right on the highway and easy to locate. The front desk onwards the staff are just doing their basic job and so the service is just OK and not to the typical expectation level that you may have. The resort building looks old. Rooms and interiors are clean though but defenitely waiting renovation badly. It is common to find unattended dishes, plates etc in the corridor as the service staff are either lazy or the resort is understaffed. The river side restaurant too is not cleaned properly we can see left over food strewn, indicating the lethargy of the attenders. Room service was just OK. Swimming pool is clean and well maintained. The city's roads are clean compared to Indian standards, and autos and taxis for local sight seeing are plentifully available. There are many touts and beware of someone duping you. However, it is easy to strike a good bargain with the auto drivers who appear friendly. Most attractions are close to each other and a one days circuit can help you cover some good amount of tourist spots. The city has a pleasant climate most of the year though slightly warmer than Bangalore. More » « Hide

I had booked two nonAC rooms in Aishwarya residency and the very moment I entered, I felt my choice vindicated. Right from Check in, I found the hotel staff to be very courteous, friendly and pleasing. The hotel is brand new and the rooms, bath, bed linen, curtains are very clean, just like those in a star hotel. TThey have a travel desk which you could use for local sight seeing or even you could hire autos which are plentifully available near by (bargain for some good deals). The staff and the service boys are very helpful. I bet would be the one of the best budget hotels in Mysore. I will definitely recommend this to anyone and look forward for another stay here. Location:-The hotel is just a few meters away from the main KSRTC bus stand and close to most attractions like the market, zoo, palace, rail station etc. Though the location is so well within the city center, the hotel is located in a very quite lane. Having said all this, it is still a bit difficult to locate the hotel. Make sure you get the right directions. Food: - The only setback was the hotel has no restaurant of its own. There is a room service where you can order your food from their extensive menu and will be served within 30 minutes from a different source. There is a nice open dining area in the terrace. However there are plenty of good hotels nearby (I would recommend the Ramani\'s taste buds). There is a coffee maker and a refrigerator (with soft drinks, packaged water etc) in the reception. I would suggest the management to have an in house restaurant in the terrace and even host a buffet, I am sure it would be a hit right the first day. More » « Hide
