we were a group of 5 ppl (all family members)who went to ooty in march 2012.ooty wasnt that chilling at that time...n it was fine with us. we decided to stay at west nature cottage...unfortunately!!! they sent their cab to pick us up frm the station.thot our experience wud b nice..as we hd bn talking to their manager Mr.Udayaa for the last 1n half a months n he assured us the best of their service..thngs were fine when we reached dre.the cottage was more than our expectation..in fact it wasnt a cottage..it was a big bungalow in which nobody stayed.3 big sized bedrooms,1 kitchen..whose tap didnt work,a verandah,one puja room,one dining room,one living room,1 store room,1 utility area with a washing machine...(dnt knw if it was of any use or not) n 4 wahrooms...!!liked it... any horror movie can b filmed dre in the cottage in the nite...it luks so scary..with no ppll around...some drunken staff were dre in the 1st floor..we were promised to b given a micro wave oven..for which we hd to carry some utensils..bt then the micro was nowhr in the kitchen..instd they provided us with a gas cylinder..n some very dirty utensils...if u stay in that cottage..i can assure u that u'll hv no choice bt to cook..as there's no restaurant nearby n the restaurant they r supposed to hv dsnt exist... somehw we managed to wash the utensils n use them....nobody came to clean the room or the utensils in our 3 days stay...only help we got is the milk packets were provided everyday...on request n extra money...paid huge for the cylinder...jst for using it once a day ..hd to pay the price for 2 cylinders.. u cnt c the sunrise,sunset or ny ppl or spot frm that strange location... Mr udayaa who spoke to us for such a long time n ws to arrange everythng perfectly cud b seen nowhr..his manager (that is manager's manager)came to meet us aftr repeated requests only to tk the money U wud b surprised to c dre behavior..they dnt knw how they r spoiling the name of ooty...even dre is no name to their resort or hotel of watvr it is....n nobody in the neighboring areas hv heard abt this west nature cottage....may b they found it suitbl not to disclose dre business to the natives ..for some reason Finally the cab....gosh!!!dnt knw if they r in a business of robbery....he didnt tk us to madhumalai forest,mukerti lake,avalanch lake,kalhatty falls n many other spots.gvng lame excuses...n didnt even lessen the money by a penny for not keeping their promise...the driver din understand hindi at all...or may b he pretended...din even set hindi / english songs on the stereo....as if saying.....it ws ur problem that u dnt understand tamil...... we hd to pay hefty for choosing this "west nature cottage" n so wud not recommend this for anybody..dnt mk ur trip to this bful place a horrible experince by opting for this cottage to stay in..

the property wasnt too vast, but its nice for a whole family , the booking process is smooth and fast , the service was average because you had to constantly remind them about what was missing, the food on the other hand was nice but not memorable.its a decent stay.

Ambience was good, & service was also pretty decent. Room was well maintained it was quite big. In Food i had a problem in the hotel,stuff was very limited , Chef did not know to prepare also properly.

Overall excellent, had little issues with food which I conveyed to them, good and nice caretakers of the property, was on a package tour and was well taken care of.

Best Experience: peaceful location and good rooms......liked the all religion temple..

Worst Experience: nothing really.............

The cottage is good and the rooms are also good but what i really liked was food at this place did not expect it to be so delicious.
