Family holiday resort

7.0/7
Posted 31 Jul, 2017

Located at the Colva beach of south Goa, Acacia palm resort is a place of leisure and great hospitality. It's an ideal location for a relaxing family holiday. Rooms are spacious, neat and clean with all modern amenities and an outdoor balcony having picturesque view. Resort includes a small but maintained swimming pool, poolside bar, multi-cuisine restaurant and fun zone for children. Fine sand Colva beach is just behind the resort. We stayed here in the 1st week of July and enjoyed a lot with our kids. It's a maintained property and great for a relaxing and fun filled family holiday.

Good place to stay

4.9/7
Posted 25 Dec, 2016

Excellent Stay. The hotel is a very close to Colva beach. Food quality is also very good but the choice is limited. There are many restaurants, shops in the near by area. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom is big and with real shower area. They provide tea / coffee maker. The staff is courteous. Small but good property.

Best hotel for couples

6.5/7
Posted 25 Oct, 2016

Best hotel for couples travelling with kids. Excellent choice of food for adults and kids. Neat rooms and restrooms. Very courteous staff. The pool could have been bigger but we have sea so it makes up for it. All in all its like home away from home.

Best if you need access to market area and decent resort with helping staff. Thanks to Syble, Michelle, Vishaka, Ketan ji, etc. And housekeeping and room service staff. They didn't gave any chance of complains and assisted us throughout our stay to be pleasant and relaxed.

It's a very pleasant and nice stay at Acacia Palms in Colva of Southern Goa. Resorts just 50 meter away from Colva beach. Morning is so nice hearing perching sounds of birds after so many years. Staff is responded in time raise to the occasion. Cooperative and courteous staff.

Small property & good food

6.5/7
Posted 4 May, 2016

Although, the property is small and it's maintained very well, you have all the facilities. It is beautiful and the hospitality is very good. The food is good. The property is bang on beach but no direct access. The approach to the beach is from outside. The beach is really great with all fun activities like water biking, speed boating and para sailing. A combination of a calm resort and a vibrant beach makes your holiday memorable.

Decent room décor; staff lacked hospitality

2.5/5
Posted 7 Jan, 2015

Wanted to stay near the beach, so chose this property as it was a last minute trip for us. Stayed in here for 1 night. Breakfast spread was okay, more for foreign palate and did not cater to variety for vegetarians. Rooms were decent in, spacious, and facilities were adequate. Location is good for its proximity to Colva beach, few meters walk to the market and numerous food joints . . Acacia is relatively a brand new property compared to its competitors nearby. Upon checking in realized the wash rooms were not clean, had to request for it to be redone Lobby area (from front desk leading to rooms) was not clean, with dust covering the pathway. Hotel staff lacked hospitality and warmth. They all looked very low in energy and didn't show much inclination towards good customer service We accidentally left our belongings behind in the hotel and later called them to check on the same. Did call them thrice but only to get a response that they are still looking for the articles and return a call, which till date is pending. This was quite shocking as they should have been prompt enough to inform us and returned the articles. Honesty is one of the key values of hospitality which seemed to be missing here. This instance makes us rethink returning to this hotel again.

Great accomodation at a reasonable rate

4.3/5
Posted 30 Sep, 2014

My Mum and I stayed at this hotel when we visited Goa over one weekend. It is around 200-300 meters away from Colva Beach and about a kilometer or two away from Benaulim Beach. Most of the shacks were closed mid-September and we were informed that they open in and around November onwards. I chanced upon an excellent deal on this hotel on Clear trip and I admit I wouldn't have paid a rupee more. That being said our stay was worth every penny and I would seriously recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a mid-range hotel I. E. 3k a night - 5k a night Pros:-. 1) The hotel premises were very well maintained and clean. 2) The staff was very friendly and helpful. As our flight was at 12 am, they agreed to let us extend our stay by half a day at a very reasonable charge . 3) The rooms were spacious and had a balcony too. 4) The overhead shower was to die for. The hotel had hot water at all times . 5) The pool is not particularly deep or Olympic size, nevertheless, one can easily take a couple of laps. There were lounge chairs around the pool where one could enjoy a beer while sunbathing. One can easily spend an entire day at the hotel by the pool . 6) The hotel is so well located that one can easily find cabs to get to anywhere once they step out Cons:-. 1) The breakfast was the same on both days and the dinner was average and expensive. I wouldn't really call this a con as their staff was more than happy to cook something off the menu for us. Had the shacks been open none of this would have really been a problem in my opinion. Unfortunately I cannot recommend shacks or what one could do during the off season as I was there for two days only and was not particularly interested in sight seeing but what I can tell you is that Beanulim is a far better beach than Colva. I wish we had rented a car or a Scooty and explored some of the other beaches, no regrets though. Just one word of caution, South Goa is significantly more expensive than North Goa .

Enjoyable stay and comfortable hotel for family stay

3.6/5
Posted 3 Feb, 2015

My family and I had been to Goa on a family vacation in August and stayed at this hotel. Our stay was comfortable and we had a very good experience here. The hotel is far from main city but very close to beach side, which was the best part. The surrounding of the hotel was maintained well and staff people where helpful and professional in service. There was no delay made during check-in or checkout from the management, since we had precooked it. The interiors of the hotel are really attractive and room we got was maintained cleanly with all the amenities working perfectly. There was beach view from room window and wash room was hygienic. The food quality of the hotel was hygienic but the taste was average, and price was reasonable. There is no activity arranged by the hotel but swimming pool and sightseeing trip is available. Overall, it was a enjoyable experience here and I would visit the place again if I get a chance.

Awesome rooms & good service but costly

4/5
Posted 12 Aug, 2014

Goa is a very exotic place to visit. It takes about forty hours from Howrah to reach Goa. The cost of staying in hotel is very high. I stayed in Acacia Palms. It was a costly hotel. But the service was good. There was excellent food. The room was awesome. They had contact with local travel agent.

Too expensive on food

3.8/5
Posted 24 Feb, 2015

Done our booking only on condition of paying of Rs. 3500 per person for gala dinner on New Years eve. And when we went for dinner it was all vegetarian dinner. Rs. 3500 for vegetarian dinner that too in Goa is not worth it. To top up with our bad luck my wife lost her Mobile in the hotel reception on 31st evening and even after having cctv camera we were not able to catch the thief. As coverage of the cctv was not occupying full reception area.
