Beautiful memorial sacred place

27th November, 2018, we visited upper zuluk and the tour itinerary for that day were zigzag road view point, Thambi view point, Tukla valley, Gnathang valley, Kupup lake and the last one was Old Baba Mandir. After visiting Kupup lake our zeep moved towards Old Baba Mandir which is placed in an awesome scenic surroundings. The mandir is dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh. He was an Indian Army Soldier died near Nathula Pass in East Sikkim during Indo China war in 1962. We climbed up stairs to reach the bunker where Baba Harbhajan Singh samadhi has been built. There we found a camp bed is kept for Baba and his boots and uniform also kept there. The memorial temple is maintained by Indian Army. They offer tea/coffee & prasad to the visitors while visiting the Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial temple.

The Old mandir to Harbhajan Singh

This mandir is wrapped in mysteries and often considered to be the haunted place for the good soldier Harbhajan Singh to whom, this temple is dedicated. Converse with the army personnel there to know more about this place.

Lot of secrets sleeping here

The soldiers there believe in Baba blindly, so many interesting stories and don't miss to talk to few soldiers. They believe and used to come every day and protect the border in the night :) peaceful but too cold for me to handle after removing the shoes. Hats off to those soldiers who is standing there even in 0 degrees.

The Old Baba Harbhajan Temple

It is a sacred place where Indian soldiers offer puja to a special jawan named Harbhajan Singh who died long ago while fighting. He has been provided the status of saint by his followers and the shrine is dedicated to him. It is a must visit place for all. Do not miss the tea/coffee provided free by the jawans.
