Not so clean beach

The beach is not so clean because of the food vendor and people coming here not following the clean drive. There are various options for food lovers and animal ride. There are camel and horses for riding and beach ATV to fun ride.

Thrilling rides at Ali bag beach

Everyone should try the thrilling rides in Alibag beach. You should take a package 3 rides which comes to around 500 to 600 per person per ride. There are 3 different rides they provide. One is the simple two seater speed boat with the attendant driving & he goes zig zag in the water that gives you the thrill & fun. Second is a sofa seating ride in which the sofa is tied to the speed boat & the speed with which he drives water splashes on you & the sofa literally jumps in the water giving you much desired thrill & fun. The third ride is the most frightening & most thrilling ride. It is called Banana ride in which you sit on a banana shaped open boat with strings to catch & it is tied to a speed boat .. He takes you to the middle of the beach with almost 7 feet water & simple throws you in the water. You go under the water & come up in 3 seconds because of the floating life jacket on your body & then you are floating in the mid beach for few seconds & then pulled back by the person in the banana boat & taken back to shore. Absolutely safe since life jacket is tied to you in all rides & the guy accompanying in the rides are well trained swimmers. But yes, people having heart problems, breathing problems should avoid them although they should try this once in life to experience thrill ..

Amazing trip

The overall experience was really good. The locations, the beaches specially the kashif beach was mesmerising. The food in the guesthouse was amazing. It was not that costlier than other paces yet very incredible in taste. Overall it was a very enjoyable and memorable trip to Alibaug and Murud janjira.

Average level beach

Average level beach located in the city itself. Way too commercialized. The water recedes in the evening during low tide and 1 can walk all the way towards the fort like structure. A nice place to enjoy with friends.

Just like any other beach

During the low tides, the water is quite away from the beach and you have to walk a long way to touch the waters. This beach is also connected to the Kolaba fort situated in the middle of the ocean, built by Shivaji Maharaj. You can reach this fort by hiring a horse cart and enjoy the ride. If the water level is very low, which usually is, then you can also reach the fort by walking.

A peaceful place

The place is good and peaceful. By boat ride you can visit nearby Shivaji Fort which is awesome. It's a paisa-vasool place.Apart of Boat ride you can also do Go-karting and Horse/Tonga Riding. Since the distance from Pune and Mumbai is approx 100 km which can be traveled and back in same day.Wear casuals or Beach were as changing rooms are there nearby.

Nice, clean and almost flat beach

The beach is undoubtedly the main attraction for every visitor to Alibaug. It's a clean and flat beach with a Promenade on its outskirts and nicely made long concrete benches for relaxing and watching the sea waves. The most prominent visual is of the Kolaba Fort built approx a km away from the shore and approachable only during low tides. One can walk or take a Horse cart to quickly reach the fort's main gate. A short visit of apx an hour is good enough to explore the fort from inside. During low tides, the beach is very wide and nice for a stroll. Also one can enjoy a Camel or a Horse ride on the wide beach. And as mentioned earlier, take a Horse cart to visit the fort. Also available are few water sports facilities for adventure lovers. Best time to visit it an hour before sunset and then enjoy your stay till dark.

Good and clean Beach but not that safe

Nice and clean beach. Many tourist who visit Alibaug come here. It is the main Beach in Alibaug. It is quite deep and not that safe to go far. It has quite a attractions close by and is not that isolated as other beaches. Many tourist come there.

Nice destination for weekend near Mumbai

I am from delhi and I visited Alibaug beach in November with my Mumbai friends. The Alibaug beach is about 100 km far from Mumbai and this is main clean and charming beach closest to the town. The major attractions of the beach are Fresh air, Sandy beach, sight of the Kulaba Fort, Cypress and Coconut trees. The Kolaba Fort, a sea fort can be seen from here and is situated in the centre of the beach and can be visited when the water dries up. You can enjoy Coconut water, Ice-cream, Bhel-puri, Vada-pav which is special dish of Alibaug. Pollution free atmosphere is specialty of Alibaug.

The beach is very good. Sports, food and other facilities here are awesome. Crowd here is very good with proper assistance. You must visit it at the time of sunset and it was very near to my hotel. There are many hotels within certain kilometers radius of this beach.
