Arulmigu Kasi Viswanathar Temple, Tenkasi-Temple of Lord Shiva

We visited this glorious temple after drive of 60 km from Tirunelveli. The temple is situated nearby a fall. This is also called Daxin Kashi. A huge Gopuram and a nice architecture structure spread over a huge area reminds us of our glorious past. The temple is visible to the devotee even from a distance of one Km. Lord Shiva graces in the temple as a Swayambumurthi. Worshipping the Lord in this temple is as equal to worshipping the Lord in Kashi - Varanasi. Presiding deity is Lord Kasi Viswanatha. While Mother Durga faces South in almost all temples, but here She faces west in this temple. Here we have opportunity to participate in both Aarati of Shiva and Parvati. A must visit place for devotee of Lord Shiva. A Memorable visit.
