Nice place to stay close to the beach 3 star experience

Posted 15 Mar, 2017

Very good place to stay, it was a 3 star hotel. The overall appearance of the hotel was good. Transportation was quite easy to reach the hotel. Room was clean and neat, spacious and well maintained. There was no delay during check-in and checkout at the front office. It was an online booking for the rooms. The food was good; we didn't take up the complimentary breakfast. Pick up and drop was available.

Good stay and recommendable hotel

Posted 21 Feb, 2017

My visit to Port Blair in the month of december 2016 and stayed in the Aparupa Hotel. It was my holiday trip with couple. The city Port Blair was good as it is joyful. I would rate the location as good because it is at main center. The appearance of the hotel was very good as it is very hygienic. Hotel front office was very good as they will respond quickly with appropriate information. I booked this hotel via online. The services which was provided were average. The hotel room was good with ambience and facilities. The hotel food was very good because price is very comfortable with more varieties.

Good amenities and service, disciplined staff

Posted 28 Jul, 2014

First of all the trip to our destination I. E. Port Blair was very amazing. It was healthy as well as an awesome experience at Port Blair. The purpose of our tour was to enjoy and relax in the lap of the nature About hotel : The stay at Hotel Aparupa was an enjoyable and nice experience. The amenities were fine and natural. Everything of the hotel were as same and real as shown in photographs. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was properly functioning and were working in a good manner. The services provided were very good. The staff was very disciplined and punctual at there work. Housekeeping and other services were also good. Everyone was very honest and hardworking regarding there work Advice to travelers : As we know that Port Blair is famous for its beaches and weather and therefore I advice travelers to carry an extra pair of clothes and an umbrella too. The timing of rain was undetectable. So having a raincoat is very important for sightseeing. Do try the water sports for an amazing and exciting experience. The vehicle services were also very punctual. The right timing of them made me very happy and enthusiastic Places to visit : There were many places to visit there. First of all the most important place to visit there is the cellular jail which shows us the importance of our freedom fighters who fought for the freedom, who fought for us. It generates a feeling of patriotism and makes us realize the value of freedom. Other places to visit there are Ross Island, Havelock Island, Radha Nagar Beach (one of the Asia's best beach), North Bay Island, Baratang, and Museums At the end our experience was outstanding. Seriously, this place is like a paradise on earth. All the best to future travelers.

Poorly maintained rooms but good staff

Posted 26 Aug, 2014

I reached there by the travel agency. I went there in the month of February with my couple. Hotel was okay. Food was good but room was not that great. It was just okay. Restaurant and food was good. Service was good. In rooms AC and all were not in good condition. It was an old AC. Room maintenance was not good. There was no issue in reaching this hotel. Hotel's location was very good. It is located in the heart of the city. Appearance wise, it was good from outside but from inside the thing was that everything was old. Hotel's building was good. It looks like a new building. We took 2 rooms there the early one was good but the second room we get in which the bed was not in good condition. Cleanliness was good. Booking was done by travel people. Front office people response was good. Booking and front office were very good. Service of the staff was also very good. Room was average. Food and drink was very good. No activity was there. Port Blair as a tourist place is very good.

Unforgettable stay at Aparupa Hotel

Posted 1 Mar, 2014

A good hotel to stay located at a centre place . Very good cushion beds to rest upon and get relieved of all the strain. Room AC, is good though of old model, good food at restaurant. Well caring staff and timely food packages provided even in early departures from hotel daily. A good TV gives entertainment while in rooms. A remarkable tour with adventurous scuba diving, Snorkelling, Sea walking, Watching corol reefs, rare mud volcano, virgin forests, watching marine life from near and under water, crystal clear watered beaches with golden sand oh! Unforgettable tour with a equally good stay at hotel Aparoopa . . Suggestions: 1. Please spray disinfectants at regular intervals to get rid of cockroaches here and there . 2. Replace old model A/Cs.

A decent budget hotel

Posted 12 May, 2014

We were on a wildlife and birding trip to the Andaman islands and we stayed at Hotel Aparupa for all the days we stayed at Port Blair. Appearance looked good and a decent budget hotel not being very expensive The rooms were alright but felt a little too small with hardly any space to move around with the bed occupying most of the space. Neatly maintained and above average service. A cyclone hit the islands when we were there and we had to inform the staff of water logging in the rooms and the corridors and we were offered another room if the situation turned worse. So, in that sense it was average service they were not so proactive Packed breakfast was not too good and just about average, felt could have been much better. Food at the restaurant was decent enough but it was expensive. No activities at the hotel but they can get you packages arranged with tie up with local travel operators. Cab transfers also taken care if requested for Overall, a good option but not 'great' and well suited for honeymoon couples more so with the hotel being neither inexpensive and cheap nor too expensive and flamboyant. A definite thumbs up for a budget traveler.

Excellent service; good quality food

Posted 30 Apr, 2014

It is an excellent hotel in Port Blair in terms of hospitality, food and homeliness. The hotel people are so nice that you will feel like you are at home. Room services and restaurant services are simply excellent. Food variety and quality are also very good. The location is okay. The rooms are little small and congested and amenities are so-so. But, the attitude and friendliness of the people in the hotel covers up this shortcoming. The places in and around the hotel are worth visiting such as Cellular Jail, a number of museums, beaches (like Chidiyatapu) and islands. Particularly, Havelock Island and Radhamohan Beach can never be missed. The Hotel people will cooperate with you fully (as if you are at home) for making your trip comfortable and meaningful . .
