Decent fish aquarium for kids and families

Its a two floor fish aquarium with more than 50 varieties of fishes. Little over crowded and dingy, mostly for families and kids. Ticket charges Rs 10 per head, no camera charges. Good for half an hour only. Near to this you have Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Cubbon Park, Government Archaeological Museum and Venkatappa Art Gallery.

Good place for kids but average maintenance

The Aquarium is situated right next to Cubbon Park. If you are visiting Cubbon Park you can visit aquarium too. The aquarium has a wide variety of species but the facilities provided are very average and the condition of the building too.

Not very exciting place

It is very small aquarium with around 40 tanks of fishes distributed in two floors of the building. However the variety displayed here covers various breeds from different part of the world including small sharks, white fishes, snakefish, gold fish, silver fish etc. Lighting and hygienic conditions inside is not very good. Not worth to plan a visit specifically for aquarium, but if you are visiting Cubbon Park with kids, this can be an option.
