Araku is truly amazing

Araku Valley is a must see while you visit vizag. The valley is folded with true nature. The people there along with the cold weather made memories which I will relish for lifetime! It would be great if one can combine lambasingi with the Araku trip. The roads and mountains are something which will give you a real taste of hill station. Please make an arrangement for a stay in any of the resorts in Araku and feel the charm at night.

My best time

I have visited araku valley last month. Its one of my best time because I have spent a very close relation with nature. The nature what you see is different from city to the araku valley. You cane see and sense the true color of nature there. I prefer araku, in andhra pradesh is the one of the best heritage places that we have to see and protect.

Beautiful journey to Araku Valley

We went for a leisure road trip from Nellore to araku valley. Since its a long journey we stayed in vizag for a day for local sightseeing. Next day morning we started journey to araku valley 115 km from vizag. Ghat section starting after s. Kota. We went during pongal holidays so the climate is beautiful. Took 3hrs drive from vizag. The road has some blind curves so you got to be very careful. If you are a non veg lover, you will love the bamboo chicken offered on the roadside near coffee plantations. Climate is very cold. We stayed in AP tourism hotel( mayuri haritha resort). Private hotel options are limited and not good. You can book online. People come from vizag for weekends so weekend stays are bit costly than normal days. Visit coffee museum which offers over 30 different coffees. Being a coffee lover we spent over evenings there thoroughly enjoying the coffee while my kid enjoyed different playing activities in there. Places to visit .. Padmapuram gardens. Nice place. Borra caves is a must visit place. But you have to be there by 9am since you need to wait for entry tickets. It almost took one hour for me to get the tickets. Borra caves are almost 35km away from vizag. So you can plan to visit caves and nearby waterfalls and return to Vizag.

It's good if you go in winter

There's a package available by the AP tourism dept. It's worth buying. They'll take you via train and make you visit different place via bus. It's good if you go in winter. You'll find the waterfalls.

Ooty of Andhra Pradesh!!

Araku is about 115 kms away from Vizag coast. It's the only Hill station near by Vizag. The green hills of Araku, embedded with rock. Gives you a different experience of hills. The temperature decreases as we climb up and reach Araku village. You can find Harita resorts in the village where accommodation is decent and reasonable. There is nothing much in village except the Tribal museum. But the way leading to Araku from Vizag is amazing. It's the best getaway from hot Vizag.
