"very nice place loved it"

Arthur's seat .. The point is named after king Arthur who sat on the peak of this mountain staring at the kaveri river, in which his wife and daughter got drowned in an accident ... It is said that the valley is famous for floating lighter objects due to the vacuum created at the bottom of the valley. It works only during summer season due to the upward flow of hot air

Really Enjoyable trek

This point seems like a small trekking. The point is quite a bit far away and the walking path just reminds one of trekking. There are monkeys which can grab camera and Mobile and other valuable items along with the food items. Keep an eye on them to avoid any mishaps. The view from the place is incomparable.

The most scenic viewpoint

One of the many viewpoints in Mahabaleshwar but the most scenic of the lot. The trail that leads to the viewpoint is surrounded by trees which make it very romantic and windy. One can even have hot american sweet corn and enjoy the view from this point.

Good place to relax

This place offers a scenic view valley and is positioned between different mountains, because of the upward flow of wind between the mountains, it's said to bring back light weighted objects dropped from the place to deck of valley. The place is named after the British officer Authur, since he used to visit the place often in memory of his wife who killed herself by jumping to a river which can be seen from the place. It's one of the mandate visit in Mahabaleswar and is part of old Mahabaleswar. It is adjacent to many other points like Kate's, Savithri, Monkey, Lions Head(is not same as lion head view point which is near market and is a view point for the former) etc which also gives similar views but not as good as Authur's Seat. It is also near to Mahabaleswar Temple. You might be required to spent more than half a day to cover the major points in Old Mahabaleswar. It's advisable to have a private vehicle for the visit as the place lack any public transportation. The other alternative will be to hire a cab from Venna Lake or Mahabaleswar Market.

This is a very look point to see great mountains. Lovely view. You will be surprised how the mountains can look from the top. We had to walk a lot at this point to reach at the top so don't forget to wear your sport shoes as on each of the point you have to walk a lot. Don't forget to try the nimboo pani in the Summer.

Stupendous and mesmerising view

This point was named after British officer, sir Arthur Matel, who sat here and gazed at the Savitri River, where he lost his wife and children in a tragic ferry mishap. Blanket of clouds covering the beautiful valleys is breathtaking! The barren deep Valley Savitri on the left and lush green Jor Valley on the right extend a mesmerising view to the seat.

Good place

Around 10km from main market and there is a toll of Rs. 10 per person. Can cover 5-6 points together like Monkey Hill, Echo Point etc. Enjoy Corn, Gola, Bhel, Vada Pav on the way but beware of Monkeys.
