The resort is right on the Vembanad lake, and is widely spread on a lavish scale. We stayed at a lake facing room which was a large room for the 4 of us. The checking in was professional and smooth, the rooms were great, we could spend an entire evening just sitting and watching the sun go down the lake. Mornings we can spot a lot of house boats in the area. Actually the lake is filled with these house boats. The food was good, standard resort food nothing to complain, so as nothing special as well. The staff were cordial and evenings were filled with mohini dance, kalaripayattu performances.
The Backwater Ripples was my stay in the month of August 2016 when I had been to Kumarakom. It was my holiday trip with couple. The place where I had been to was good. The hotel location was very good as it is nearest to the market place. I would rate the appearance of the hotel as average. The staff at the reception was good as they are polite and responsive. I booked my room direct at hotel. The house keeping services in the hotel were good because of responsible quick service. The rooms at the hotel were very good with comfortable beds and neat bathroom. I would rate food as very good, here we can get more local varieties.
I stayed here in November. This destination was average, but hotel had a good location there. It had a nice appearance as well. The booking and front office was nice. The service they provided was neat and it had good rooms as well. The food they served us was decent. In the destination, all I liked was the lake. The hotel was close to the lake. It was booked via an agent. The lake view from the room was nice. The staff's was very co-operative. They had no WiFi facility, but they provided complimentary breakfast.
I went to the hotel in the month of November. I had done booking by a travel agent and it was a family trip. Complimentary drinks were provided by the hotel but were not tasty. Wi- Fi facility was available in the hotel. Indoor outdoor games were arranged in the hotel. Pick up and drop facility was not provided by the hotel. Hotel was located near the beach. Appearance of the hotel was not so attractive. Booking and front office was not well maintained. There was no delay in check in and checkout. Basic amenities like TV were available in the room but were not in working condition. I would like to suggest the hotel management to renovate the hotel in 5 years should provide some activities and should provide fresh juice for welcome drink and food quality should be improved.
I went there in month of November. It was a holiday trip with family. Hotel appearance was good as the exterior was fantastic and impressive. Reception was average as there was no one present when we reached there. Service was good and it was quick. Room was attractive and clean and well painted. Food was average as there was not sufficient variety and expensive. There was no any activity in that hotel. Pick up and drop facility was provided by the hotel.
The hotel was located nearby the lake. Swimming pool, carom and table tennis was available in the hotel. The experience was good in the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was provided in the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to upcoming travellers.
This hotel is quiet isolated and away from city area that makes this one for people who want to live away from crowd. If you are planning to go in this hotel remember that this one is quiet far from both Kumarkom and Kottayam. So its more of village getaways hotel but surprisingly the food, WiFi connectivity and AC is amazingly the best around here. So go for it if you want to get an experience of Kerala countryside.
The destination of the hotel was good. The appearance of the hotel was good. The check in and checkout process was done on time. The behaviour of the was friendly and good in the hotel. The service was good in the hotel. The hotel was value for money. The activity was conducted in the hotel. I use any activity in the hotel. I had visited this hotel with my family for personal purpose. The parking facility was available at the hotel. The garden was available in the hotel.
What an excellent resort with majestic back water view. Pool area is superb. Very nice and maintained restaurant. At the pool area there is an Mandapam and watch tower, sitting place where you can sit for long hours with the backwater view. The entire resort area view is a treat to eyes. I must suggest at least once someone should pay a visit here.
