Lovely park and children's play area attached

The tombs as such are huge without much sculpture. There are many in two rows. There is an entry ticket Rs. 5 or so. But archialogical society of India opens only at 4 pm after lunch. I could not wait since at 4 pm I plan to be in fort. I requested the watchman and he allowed me in. There were 3 batches of school children who were not interested in the tombs. All tombs were locked. Some had two tombs. Some were just tombs outside. The rows of palm trees looks grand.

You just feel Peaceful

I went here on a road trip with my friends, it was a good experience. Although, roads were being constructed. Once you get there you feel very peaceful and serene. And, there are some shops around so it won't be a problem to get tummy filling snacks.

Place like this should have a proper guide, who knows the actual history

Bahmani tombs can definitely be on your list when you are visiting Bidar. Place is at the outskirts of Bidar. Something which you will really enjoy over here is the sculptures and paintings along with the overall epoch of this tomb. If I am recalling it right these are more than 500 years old. It certainly made me think the kind of life's kings would have enjoyed in those ages. Perfect place to sense the essence of gaudy Persian life style. Such places should be well maintained by Govt., well promoted and should have proper guides who know actual history. We went in the evening and this place was full of tourist and locals.
