The local management is hell

Obviously, the care is offered more to the foreigners. For a change, I felt discriminated when someone of the staff of the park was quoting. "This is Indians vehicle".There is nothing wrong in the comment though. But the way it was portrayed. Was a.Complete waste of 3 hours.

In lap of the nature

We went for a vacation to Bandipur National Park, Tiger Reserve.. It was a amazing experience altogether! We stayed at a resort there which was extremely beautiful as well!We went for a morning trek in the forest where we saw peacocks..In jungle safari many animals were spotted deers, bisons, elephants and some more.It has no Mobile network and it's a complete detox vacation!Absolutely no traffic and crowd! The jungle safari has to be done by the govt vehicles.. Jeep and buses are available! It's a great option if you want to sit back, relax and experience a different world.. So close to nature!

A great place to view wild lifes and specially deers

A good place to hide out from busy working schedule. Deer, wild dogs and elephants can be spotted easily. We saw some peacocks. An awesome place to visit with kids. Resorts are costly but a must visit place.

Need to be lucky to sight anything other than deers

Pleasant morning ride with frequent sightings of deers only. Later learnt that we were late to enter the sanctuary (around 08:45). So one needs to be really early to be lucky with sightings.

Forest with thick green flora-for nature lovers

Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the largest and popular National Tiger Reserve. It is unique out of the forest which I visited. The road to the forest is narrow with thick greens on both sides, it's a lovely wildlife reserve, where you can get to see elephants, deers, gaurs (Indian bisons), wild boars and various species of birds in large numbers. Birds are plentiful especially birds such as kingfisher and woodpeckers can been seen easily, no food is available there. Better to carry food, don't forgot to take your camera, timings are from morning 6AM to 3PM only and visit it atleast once.

Deciduous pristine forest

The safari organized by the Karnataka forest department is of two types - Open Jeep and Mini Buses. There is plenty of Deer around and with all the Elephants migrated to cooler reserves (Mudumalai and Wayanad), you would lucky to spot a Tiger here than anywhere else as this is type of vegetation preferred by the big cat. Especially, during the dry season you can for sure, spot a Tiger near the water holes in the evenings. Some clubs like Serai and country club offer, private Safari which is more worthwhile but cost a lot more than the ones organized by the government. They cover greater areas, usually lasts for 3-4 hours and you can be sure that you would spot a leopard or a tiger. So, please don't mind the cost and opt for the private safari, and the money spent would be worth the cost.

Must visit once to experience the safari

Though a Tiger safari we could not sight a Tiger. But the safari experience was good as the safari canter was good. The drivers were well informed and were nice and cooperative. We could see spotted Deers, Langurs, Peafowls, Jungle Fowls, many bird species etc. I recommend people go for at least 4 to 5 safaris to have a chance for sighting of big Cats.
