Bandra fort

Bandra fort is located near Bandstand. You can get clear image of Arabian sea. Half of the fort is closed by Government. We are allowed to visit only 30 percent of it.

Good place for couples

This is better beach than Worli Sea face and Juhu as this is very clean compared to the other. Bandra Fort is shown in many movies so it is famous. But it is must visit place. Snacks are available near it. Also near Bandra Fort there is carter road which is famous for eateries.

Hot spot for movie shooting and events

Bandra Fort is a place at the end of Band Stand next to The Taj Ends land. This is very hot destination for movie shooting and for event, like band show. Movies like Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Talaash were shot here. This place is very photogenic, gives awesome view. It is a place where people (Couples, Friends, Families) would come and enjoy the time.During the events it becomes Jam Packed. The place has got no entry fee if there is no event. So you can simply visit the place and enjoy your time. The place becomes pleasant during evening especially Winter time. Rarely you will find this place empty. The place is suitable to spend a couple of hours with your loved ones.

Portuguese legacy of Mumbai, a real Fort

A Parsee Richman Behramjee ji bought it from the British and made a road connecting it with Bandra main area. The Fort at Lands End is decorated around by a green space so well created guarded by a Aware Local Committee. A wonderful garden lines it today free for Public. Imposing Taj Lands End Hotel lords over people who flock from all over to enjoy this sea facing Citadel of the past. You can spend lots of time here especially at Sunset. A Must see place in the suburb.

Portugal touch

As I booked hotel and stayed and Bandra West (HOTEL GOLDEN PLAZA). I visited BANDRA FORT and history behind this was good to know. I have spent entire evening till 7pm. Siddhivinayak Temple is also close by just 5km away in auto, but could visit because of rain.

Fort sea waves and best view of Sea Link

Experience waves hitting the rocks. Bombay Skyline looks like Manhattan from here and probably the best place to peacefully view Worli Sea Link. Place has a small park and eateries. Early Mornings or late Evenings is the best time to go, to avoid sun baking your head.

Not very good for families

Couple sitting and having a good in the public, not a good place where family or ordinary people can sit not that much clean and safe. Nearest hotel is Taj Lands End which is also very attractive place however this place is little-bit peaceful area as compared to other part of crowded Mumbai.

Great place to go in groups

You should go early morning, dawn time. The sunset here is absolutely mesmerizing. The landscape looks amazing. You can have chai or coffee along with breakfast after watching the sunset. It's worth it at least once. It's recommend to go with your friends in a group or so. Also it's better to go during winters as sun rises late and the weather is more pleasant than summers.
